Annual Events

Soapbox

This elegant, creative, and funky springtime event includes unique art experiences, treats, drinks, and music. We are reaching out to friends and supporters, near and far, who really care about our work. Proceeds from the evening sustain our rich and growing suite of programs—from free arts workshops to community-based artist residencies—that ignite creativity in everyday community spaces, and serve over 6,000 New Yorkers each year.

Field Day

We hope to see you at our annual fall festival of neighborhoods showcasing The LP’s 2013 public art residencies, fellowships, and arts workshops in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Harlem, and Hunts Point. In each of our three anchor neighborhoods, you can look forward to free arts workshops, walking tours, micro film festivals, street naming games, and so much more!

Public Art Potluck

Our annual fall potluck celebrates each year’s Create Change artists. We bring the food. You bring the ideas.
