First Fridays: February

Facilitated by Wéma Ragophala

Join us for our first Liberation Series event of 2025!

Held on the First Friday of each month, The Liberation Series is hosted in partnership with Wéma Ragophala to activate our Bed-Stuy storefront as a hub of artistic expression and community engagement. Our 2025 program theme, Black Quantum Futurism, invites us to explore how time, space, and memory inform collective liberation.

For February, we will explore how art, natural elements, and Black speculative thought can create new pathways to freedom. Join artists Wéma Ragophala and Asma Feyijinmi to create waves of change through movement and mediation.

Food will be provided by Taste of Bed-Stuy + Seeds in the Middle, a BK food and drink series that promotes local neighborhood businesses and talent, luring people to discover the borough’s healthy culinary gems and overcome food insecurity and inequity.

Join us in celebrating art tool for resistance, healing, and imagining new futures!
