Project: Nourish Bed-Stuy
Nourish Bed-Stuy is a community-driven initiative led by Brooklyn-based artist Damien Smith. Dedicated to filling community refrigerators in Bedford-Stuyvesant, this project aims to provide fresh, nutritious food to local residents in need. By regularly stocking these fridges and sharing updates on Instagram, Bed-Stuy FreshStart IG fosters transparency and community engagement. Followers can see which fridges have been filled and learn about the impact of their contributions. This initiative not only addresses food insecurity but also strengthens neighborhood connections, ensuring that everyone has access to healthy meals.
