Isiah Bermudez
Amid the blank spaces of pre-pandemic New York City, Isiah began cultivating consciousness and openness through his art. As a child, he found his voice in nonprofit children’s arts programs, discovering that the truest form of self-expression lived within those untouched canvases. Today, he draws from the echoes of the past and the pulse of the present to shape a brighter future for those who follow in his creative footsteps. Isiah Bermudez is a Studio Fine Artist, aspiring Game Developer/Programmer, and Animator with an Associate Degree in Studio Arts. He is also a lifelong learner dedicated to personal and creative growth. His connection to The Laundromat Project began during his studies for his Associate Degree in Mixed Media (AS), when he first joined the organization as an intern. A year later, his commitment and passion led him to become a Programs Associate, where he now provides essential support to the programs team. Deeply devoted to human rights and the advancement of accessible, community-based art initiatives across New York City, Isiah channels his artistry toward meaningful, socially conscious impact. Beyond his professional work, he finds inspiration in visiting museums, libraries, art shows, writing, and practicing boxing.
