Isabelle Hui Saldaña

Isabelle Hui Saldaña / isa (they/them) is an artist, writer, and cultural worker dedicated to understanding relations among Blackness, Indigeneity, ecology, labor, and social intimacy. A believer in the radical possibilities of gathering––particularly for Black, Indigenous, Brown, queer, trans, and disabled folks––isa is passionate about working directly with artists and community members on manifesting and supporting new and old ways of “living otherwise.” They are a PhD Candidate in Performance Studies at New York University.

isa’s primary focus at The Laundromat Project is serving as a critical dialogue partner and resource guide for further developing artists’ practices following their participation in the Create Change Residency and/or Fellowship programs.
