Isabelle Hui Saldaña

Isabelle Hui Saldaña / isa (they/them) is an artist, writer, and cultural worker dedicated to understanding how Blackness, Indigeneity, ecology, and social intimacy exist in relationship with one another. A believer in the radical possibilities of gathering––particularly for Black, Indigenous, Brown, queer, trans, and disabled folks––isa is passionate about working directly with artists and community members on manifesting and supporting new and old ways of “living otherwise.” Their primary focus at The Laundromat Project is serving as a critical dialogue partner and guide in developing artists’ practices, while strengthening The LP’s organizational and artistic grounding in the local Bed-Stuy community.
