Free Herbal Medicine Cabinet
Our system has failed to provide healthcare to all, honor holistic wellbeing, and enrich people with the power to heal themselves/each other. In order to mitigate our ongoing healthcare crisis, we must introduce people to alternative models, and connect healers with their community…one solution is building free herbal medicine cabinets in neighborhoods.
Holistic medicine has become financially and physically inaccessible for lower income communities so we will meet them where they are. This herbal medicine cabinet will allow NYCHA housing community members to have access to free herbal medicine 24/7, alternative healing services on a sliding scale basis, and learn from free medicine making workshops.
Through mutual aid we can empower communities to build collectively agency rather than be bound to a system devoid of care and intentionality. This is just one model we can implement to get our basic needs met, shift from scarcity to abundance, and heal.
