BIO
Dhanashree is an installation artist and educator from India whose work is focused on storytelling. Her work explores and questions memories, identity, experiences and issues related to immigration. She completed her BFA in Painting in Mysore, India and M.A (Fine Arts) in Museology in Vadordara, India. She conducted two exhibitions, Melange and Sparsh with her peers from different parts of India in Vadodara and participated in two exhibitions, Art of Social Change, Philadelphia and Erasing Borders, curated by Vijay Kumar and hosted by IAAC in New York. Dhanashree is currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Art at The City College of New York, where she was the Therese McCabe Ralston Connor scholarship recipient.
