Haifa Bint-Kadi’s public art features mosaic murals and sculptures based on the theme of Resurrection History. “I excavate those marginalized voices. Art should be accessible not simply because it’s installed in a public space, but because the artist has engaged the community in discourse.” Haifa recently completed a sculpture park for the State of New York at SUNY Oneonta and is currently working on a large in-ground mosaic depicting a map of the American eel’s migration for the City of Yonkers. Haifa Bint-Kadi holds a B.A. and an M.F.A. and is a first-generation American.
