Sylvia Riveros
Sylvia Riveros (she/her) is a Colombian interdisciplinary artist and community educator based in Brooklyn. Her work explores social and climate justice through documentary photography, creative writing, illustration, and public art. Rooted in ecofeminism and participatory action research, her practice centers collective memory, ancestral knowledge, and community power as catalysts for cultural and environmental transformation. For over nine years, she has collaborated with communities in Colombia and the United States to design intergenerational workshops, visual storytelling tools, and arts-based learning spaces. She holds an MA in Experimental Humanities & Social Engagement from NYU and a BA in Sociology with a minor in Visual Arts.
