Project: Heroes from the Hood Inc.
This event is called 305 park Legends Day on August 9,2025. This has been an annual event at our park for over 10 years. It is a day when we pay tribute to those who were a part of our 305 family who have passed on. The day is filled with basketball games and clinics for the youth. We also have an old timer game for us that played in the park going back to 1980 and even further. We want to have music and food for those who attend. We also plan to have local vendors join us to promote their ventures. We will reach out to organizations that can provide a service to our people to come and set up tables. It is a reunion for some and a celebration of life for others, but we all are 205 Bedford Stuyvesant family, and these events are important to our community.

Heroes from the Hood Inc. striving to Making a Difference. We are dedicated to empowering individuals through the transformative power of sports, education, and community engagement. Our goal is to nurture growth in athletic ability, social development, and academic success, all within a supportive and inclusive environment. We believe in lifelong learning, the value of teamwork, and the importance of giving back to the community. Through high-quality sports clinics offered during tournaments, we provide youth with a safe space to build confidence and improve their skills. Beyond the field, we offer supplementary educational programs including SAT preparation, college tours, and practical financial literacy classes— such as personal finance and stock market education. Our mission is to show that success and productivity are achievable, regardless of one’s starting point. We are committed to helping young people from low-income neighborhoods see and seize their full potential.
