Project: Universal Hip-Hop Parade for Social Justice
The UHHP is an annual mid-August pan-African, Hip-Hop celebration that honors Marcus Garvey. The org also hosts discussions, Express Yourself talent showcases, demonstrations and other activities to promote social justice in NYC with a focus on Central Brooklyn.
Bio:
In sync with the 8/10/25 Universal Hip-Hop Parade, community residents will be assisted in making colorful banners and signs with social justice messages. This creative art production process will take place on the steps of Von King Park amphitheater before the afternoon parade starts. The art work will then be carried during the parade procession.
