Project: Bed-Stuy Legendz
Bed-Stuy Legendz is a digital archival project dedicated to preserving and showcasing the young natives in Bedford-Stuyvesant who are creating amidst the challenges of gentrification. The project aims to document and celebrate the resilience of Bed-Stuy’s youth, who continue to express themselves creatively despite the pressures of gentrification.
Bio:
Jabari Browne is a photographer, videographer, creative director and Award-winning filmmaker born and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. While Jabari has always been a creative person, the 2020 lockdown allowed him to hone his skills in the arts and earn a bachelor’s degree in future media from Binghamton university.
