June Liberation Series: Closing Celebration
Facilitated by Mz. Icar
First Fridays, or Liberation Series, is a monthly, artist-led, community-building gathering hosted in our Bed-Stuy storefront. Each season is guided by an artist working at the intersection of culture, imagination, and collective power.
We will remix the series into a final audio piece, paired with projected visuals from the “Legendary” installation. This celebration honors the voice, rhythm, and light of the community, closing the portal with a collective moment of reflection and futurity.
Join Mz. Icar in expanding our definition of technology, from the body to the drum to the drum machine, and help build a sonic archive where every participant’s sound becomes part of Bed Stuy’s legendary frequency.
Free food and refreshments will be provided.
