An event every week that begins at 12:00 PM on Saturday, repeating until May 21, 2022

Join us Saturdays in May for a series of public art making opportunities conceptualized and facilitated by our 2022 Create Change Fellows! No registration is required for these pop-up style events. Come anytime between 12:00 and 3:00pm.


Saturday, May 14 | Flags of Bed-Stuy

Join Create Change Fellows in designing a set of fabric flags that interpret what Bed-Stuy means and represents to you. Flags can be a symbol of nation-states and borders, but also of liberation and resistance. Create a flag to celebrate your local neighborhood, borough, or community!


Saturday, May 21 | Friends of St. Andrew’s Playground Community Day

Time: LP Programming 12:00pm–3:00pm (Community Day 11:00am–6:00pm)

Join LP staff and Create Change Fellows alongside the Bed-Stuy community at St. Andrew’s Playground for the park’s annual Community Day celebration! The LP will be hosting art making and programming centered around collective recovery. Come take in all that Community Day has to offer!


Sidewalk Dreams—Schedule TBD!

Join Create Change Fellows at an art making station featuring an altar adorned with poetry and visual art. Add your own paper flowers or poems to the altar inspired by your dreams and aspirations for the Bed-Stuy community.

This pop-up will be rescheduled soon!
