Dominique Hernandez

BIO

Dominique Hernandez graduated from Queens College with a BFA in Art Studio with honors and has showed her work at Flushing Town Hall, Contra Cuentos: Exhibit Counter- Hegemonic Art at New York University. She has also coordinated a series of workshops at New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) to create a theater performance which resulted in a comic zine against the fraudulent practices of employment agencies’ on immigrant communities. She is currently participating in Public Faculty No. 9, a project coordinated by Jeanne Van Heeswijk at the Queens Museum, that aims to create a collective learning experience by exploring different neighborhoods in Queens. Dominique’s work will be featured in CultureStrike’s “Undocumenting” series.
