Works in Progress
Arts Education Programs & Curricula
The focus of Works in Progress is to make art education more readily available in our community— regardless of income, age, or background. We believe it is a basic human right to use our imaginations in the service of a better life. When The Laundromat Project has moved into our laundry-based art center, we will offer a full roster of studio art and visual literacy courses. In the interim we have developed an annual drop-in workshop series which takes place each Sunday, 12-3pm from May to October at The Laundry Roomin Harlem. All workshops have a suggested donation of $4 though no one will be turned away if they are unable to pay.
Back Row (L-R): Brendan Caroll, Shani Peters, Risë Wilson (Founder and Board Member)
Front Row (L-R): Maya Valladares, Rosemary Taylor, Lady K Fever, Noami Zeichner (Program Intern), Hector Rios (The Laundry Room Supervisor)
