Our community-centered arts education initiatives take place through hands-on art workshops and public programs at local laundromats and other community spaces. The focus of this work is to make art education more readily available to all our community members— regardless of income, age, or background. We believe it is a basic human right to use our imaginations in the service of a better life.

Every summer, we offer a weekly series of free drop-in art workshops, which take place in Harlem, Bedford-Stuyvesant, and Hunts Point.

In addition to our laundromat-based art classes, we also offer a variety of workshops at street festivals and community-based organizations. We are also beginning to offer a series of out-of-school art intensives, and developing arts education curricula.
