What artist, curator, activist or project has influenced or inspired you?

Caroline Woolard is a friend and collaborator whose practice has influenced me greatly. I first learned about her work while in high school and it really changed the way in which I thought art could function within and outside of art institutions. Since then we have grown a friendship and currently work together with our friend Susan Jahoda on an arts pedagogy project focusing on social equity in arts production. Through our work together and from what I’ve seen in Caroline’s practice I have a wider understanding about the ways artist’s can make spaces for dialogue and critical reflection through engagement with the communities they belong to.
